So did I...on Oahu from '92-'94. Spent most of my time there but took a couple trips to the Big Island....we were able to stand close enough to the lava flow that I got a nasty second degree burn on my face. I have a picture of my son throwing a stick into the flow and it catching on fire. What an awesome two years that was!
